Some kids see bullying and look the other way

“Some kids see bullying and look the other way.

This boy? He stepped up when he noticed a classmate getting picked on for his shoes, he didn’t just shrug it off. He went home, looked at his mom, and asked:
“Can we buy him a pair of Jordans?”

He just wanted the bullying to stop. He wanted his friend to feel confident. And his mom said yes.

When the shoes were finally handed over, the boy’s face said everything. He clutched the box, stared at it in disbelief… and then lit up with a smile so big it could melt anyone’s heart.

The sad part? This happens all the time. A national study found more than half of students said clothing was a reason they or others were bullied. Shoes came up again and again.

One person who saw the video put it best:
“30 years ago, I got made fun of for my shoes in front of my whole class. Still think about it all the time. Kids can be so mean… or they can be heroes like this one.”

No—one pair of shoes won’t end bullying. But one act of kindness?
It can completely change how someone feels about themselves. And that matters.”
